Engineer (m/f/d) – Materials Engineering / Process Engineering

  • Further development of material, manufacturing, and processing technologies for ceramic materials in collaboration with colleagues and external partners from industry and research
  • Investigation and evaluation of materials in the course of internal and external complaints, including assessment and interpretation of results
  • Conducting failure and particle analyses
  • Advising and supporting various departments (e.g., Development, Production, Incoming Goods Inspection, and Quality Assurance) on materials-related topics
  • Preparation and communication of test results and material data to support complaint handling and process development
  • Quality assurance support
  • Destructive and non-destructive testing, including sample preparation
  • Supervision of measuring equipment in the materials laboratory, including equipment approvals, documentation, data maintenance, and servicing

  • Successfully completed degree in Materials Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering or natural sciences discipline
  • Ideally, initial practical experience (e.g., in quality assurance or a materials laboratory)
  • Ideally, basic knowledge of ceramic materials and manufacturing processes and/or relevant testing and characterization methods
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional projects
  • Experience in operating and knowledge of characterization and inspection equipment is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of the scientific principles behind measurement tools
  • Competence in problem-solving and statistical data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is an advantage
  • Independent and structured working style, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team
  • Organizational skills and results-oriented mindset
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
